The philosophy of Trinity Episcopal School’s physical education program is to provide each student with age and skill appropriate opportunities for physical fitness, character, independent and creative thinking, and athletic skill development.
Preschool students attend physical education class two to three times each week. Spatial awareness and gross motor skill development are emphasized through activities such as jump rope, ball skills, tag games, and more.
Lower School students meet daily for physical education. Emphasis is placed on both gross and fine motor skill development with students progressing from activities such as hopping, skipping, and jumping in First and Second Grades to more refined skills like serving, spiking, and bumping volleyballs, as well as actually playing games, in Third and Fourth Grades.
Trinity Middle School students meet four times a week for physical education. The emphasis is placed on fitness and seasonal sports skills development.
