Mission Statement

As a ministry of Trinity Episcopal Church, Trinity School's ethos is to respect the dignity of every human being and to ensure that all people who serve and will be well-served by the programs of our School are welcome in our community regardless of race, religion, background, gender, or sexual identity. We believe that a learning environment that includes a wide diversity of viewpoints consistent with the School's mission is essential to a complete educational experience. It is part of Trinity’s mission to actively build and support an inclusive environment in which all feel they are valued members of our community.

Multicultural Fair

Multicultural Fair

Trinity’s Multicultural Fair is a celebration of the diverse cultures that enrich our School. Parents, faculty, and community members are invited to the school to share elements of their culture or ethnicity with other members of the school community through storytelling, food, dance, arts, crafts, games, and many other things that make cultures unique. The fair helps educate students, families, and school staff about the various cultures represented within the school community and build social connectedness throughout the school.

The 2024-2025 year marked an unforgettable first-ever Multicultural Fair, a truly incredible celebration of the diverse cultures that enrich our community! Thank you to all the parents, students, and faculty for bringing the cultures of Cuba, Egypt, French/Cajun, Haiti, India, Los Islenos, Netherlands/Dutch, Palestine, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Turkey, and Vietnam to life. Each booth was a vibrant display of colors, flavors, crafts, and activities, offering unique and enriching learning experiences.

Diversity Chapel

Our annual Diversity Chapel is an example of living into our Statement on Inclusion. Past speakers have included Ruby Bridges, alumni, students, parents, faculty and other community members. In 2023 the guest speaker was our very own Ms. Juwanda Ford, a published author whose writing talent has been recognized by Scholastic. Ms. Ford shared her journey as a writer and how her First Grade teacher always encouraged her to chase her dreams. Thank you, Ms. Ford, for sharing your story and inspiring us to always follow our dreams.

DEI Committee

Diversity and Inclusion Committee

Trinity boasts an active and engaged Diversity and Inclusivity Committee that meets throughout the school year. The committee includes parents and faculty members who share a passion to ensure that Trinity remains a place where all feel welcomed and valued. All are welcome to be part of this important work of the school.

In 2017, Trinity approved its Diversity and Inclusivity Mission Statement :As a ministry of Trinity Episcopal Church, Trinity School's ethos is to respect the dignity of every human being and to ensure that all people who serve and will be well-served by the programs of our School are welcome in our community regardless of race, religion, background, gender or sexual identity. We believe that a learning environment that includes a wide diversity of viewpoints consistent with the School's mission is essential to a complete educational experience. It is part of Trinity’s mission to actively build and support an inclusive environment in which all feel they are valued members of our community.

This statement was developed by the D & I Committee in collaboration with the faculty and was officially approved by the School’s Board of Trustees.
Since then, the Committee has met to formulate Trinity’s D & I Plan, to monitor progress toward the goal contained in the plan, and to advise the school’s administration about how the Plan could be adjusted and improved.
